If you’re making a New Year’s resolution to go on a diet, there is only one diet you should consider, The Know Food Diet. It’s all about eating mindfully and paying attention to what you’re eating and how it’s affecting your body. It means that the foods you eat are nutrient-rich instead of the SAD (Standard American Diet) that is basically CRAP (Carbonated drinks, Refined sugar, Artificial colors or flavors and Processed products). Eating mindfully leads to better weight control as well as improved health.
If you’ve been following our postings, you know that we provide information about specific foods and their benefits, including how they can help improve different health conditions. Whether you choose to eat some animal products or not, it’s important to make the largest portion of your meals plant based. You also need to eat whole foods that are fresh and as close to their natural state as possible, avoiding highly processed junk and fast foods. Cook you own meals so that you know exactly what is on your plate. Drink lots of water and cut out sugar-sweetened beverages.
We look forward to continuing our journey of learning and sharing food knowledge with you in 2020 as we all focus on eating mindfully for our health. Happy New Year!
